Community Healthcare Team
Community Midwives
If you are expecting a baby please contact the community midwives on 01865 220457 and they will arrange your booking appointment and dating scan. The community midwives are part of the team that look after expectant mothers before, during and after childbirth.
District Nurses
The district nurses visit people whom are physically housebound or have specialist district nursing needs either short term or long term. For example they are able to provide medical care during periods of illness, bloods, wound care (including post-operative care where appropriate), continence support and catheterisation, as well as many other specialised skills.
Health Visitors
Health visitors are trained in child health & development and protecting children. They advise and support the health and wellbeing of babies, children to the age of five and their families. Their team includes community staff nurses or midwives, community nursery nurses and administrative staff.
